A dreamy Doddington Hall wedding with summer sunshine, pastel details, vintage charm — and two people totally smitten with each other.

Flat Lays with Flair – Nikki & Tom’s Personal Details
As a wedding photographer, I live for the details — and Flat Lays are where I really get to play (okay, not actually play, but close!). A Flat Lay is inspired by a French tradition — it’s where all the precious little details from the day (think invites, perfume, jewellery, florals, ribbons…) are carefully styled and photographed to tell the story of the couple’s day in a still-life scene.
It’s always a joy to create, but with Nikki and Tom’s wedding, it felt extra special. Their soft pastel colour palette, hand-tied bouquet, and heirloom accessories came together like a dream. Every Flat Lay tells a mini love story, and this one was pure summer romance meets modern elegance. A sweet, gentle nod to all the planning that went into the big day — and a pretty little keepsake for the album too.
Doddington Hall: The Ultimate Wedding Wonderland
Doddington Hall is that venue. The kind you fall in love with before you even reach the front steps (trust me, it gets you at the gates). As one of their recommended photographers, I’ve documented many weddings here — and each one feels completely different. That’s the beauty of it. Whether it’s the time of year (blazing summer sun or soft autumnal glow) or the couple’s style, it just adapts.
Nikki and Tom had a glorious summery day (cue warm light, blue skies, and garden roses in full bloom). Doddington gave them exclusive use of the grounds — which meant I could whisk them off for private couple portraits without a single guest in sight. The manicured lawns, hidden corners, and that long tree-lined path? Wedding photo gold. Every time.

That Vintage Car Moment – A Photographer’s Dream
Now let’s talk about that car. Not just a car — a lovingly restored vintage classic that belonged to Tom’s dad (cue all the emotional backstory). It pulled up to the venue gleaming in the sun like it was part of a 1960s film set. Honestly, it was the ultimate prop. We used it for a mini shoot after the ceremony, with Nikki’s veil catching the breeze and Tom leaning casually against the door looking like a GQ cover star.
It brought a layer of personality and meaning to their gallery. Because when it comes to wedding storytelling, it’s those personal touches that really elevate the visuals. Plus, who doesn’t want a photo of the bride looking like royalty in a show stopping gown beside a vintage car?
A Couple That Just Clicked
Nikki and Tom are one of those couples that make my job feel like catching up with old friends. Relaxed, funny, full of love, and so beautifully present with each other all day long. They didn’t stress the small stuff and they trusted me to capture it all. And that trust? It makes everything flow.
Their vibe was laid-back luxe — think soft textures, natural moments, and a big focus on connection. I’ll always remember the way Tom looked at Nikki during the vows and how they held hands during dinner speeches like they were still in their own little bubble. Pure magic.
