ABOUT ME
WELCOME, FRIEND
It’s great to meet you!
My love affair with photography started as a teenager, when I asked my parents if I could convert their spare room into a dark room (incredibly, they said yes). My career history is eclectic to say the least, ranging from working in a candle shop, to leading tours of the BBC Television Centre, working as a journalist and in radio production for the BBC – with a brief stint as cabin crew for British Airways thrown in for good measure. After growing up in Lincolnshire, I spent several years living in the East End of London where I worked numerous freelance BBC jobs at once, and set myself up with a little side hustle that involved blogging and covering social events. This became really successful and led to my self-publication of a magazine – This Is East – where of course, photography and design were key.
Wherever life has taken me, I’ve always had my camera round my neck and photography has stayed with me, from capturing beautiful scenery whilst flying around the world, to photographing events for friends and family, and creating regular short films documenting my nieces’ lives.
I moved back to the county of Lincolnshire in 2018 – one week before I turned 30 – and decided to take the plunge into making my hobby into my business. Rachel London Photography was created. I truly and passionately believe in the power of photography to capture life’s memories, and I am so lucky that I can now live and breathe this philosophy as a wedding photographer, as well as in my personal life.
I BELIEVE IN
love
I currently live in uphill Lincoln with my fiance, Dan, and our gorgeous fur-baby Einstein, the labrador. I love travel, music, films and great food. We are currently planning our own destination wedding in Italy and are enjoying experiencing this wonderful industry as clients too.
